I offer private art lessons for children!
This is my granddaughter, Tori, and she was my first official art student. I have worked with children for over 25+ years but I had never taught art formally.
One day I caught her pretending to paint one of my paintings that sat on my easel. That’s when I decided to let her try her hand at painting. At first, I just let her play but soon she was asking questions. I shared simple color theory, then I started to introduce her to different mediums, tools and techniques.
The picture on the right was taken when she was 4, today she is 10 and has become quite the artist. She has her own easel now, along with her own paints and mediums.
Since then I have taught many more children, and I love it!
Here’s a video from this summer showing how Tori has grown – she’s a natural abstract artist.
And since Tori is well on her way, and I don’t have any new students since relocating, I have been playing with my youngest grandson, Jason.
Here he is this summer, his first time at the big-kid easel. He is a natural!
I can’t wait to see how his talent develops!!
