Sharing photos from my work session on January 23

I have to say I am really starting to enjoy this process. I’ve been working at loosening up – I basically throw paint around and then try to fix it – attempting to find something I can salvage in each painting.  I’ve been working atleast 30 minutes at a time and then leaving it settle a while, sometimes overnight, before I make my final touches.

Yes, there have been a few I haven’t been able to get right but that’s not really the point. The goal is to paint something, build my confidence and try new things – techniques, materials and color palettes.

Initally I didn’t like this one, but now I am having trouble deciding my favorite part of the piece. Here’s my favorite slice. See the slideshow for other possibilities. LET ME KNOW WHICH ONE YOU LIKE BEST!   ~S

Canvas paper, acrylic paint, oil pastels- abstract, free expression.
