Sharing photos from my work session on January 29
This morning my good friend Betsy and I got together via FaceTime.
I thought meeting like this would help to insure I’d get up and to my studio every morning. We are both early risers but I tend to get on my phone and we all know how that turns out – you look up and hours are gone! I really needed to change my routine.
We planned it out last week, each of us setting up our tripods so we would be able to view each other’s work. We planned to paint for 30 minutes but this first session ended up over two hours!
It worked out even better than I thought it would. I found that as we chatted away, it took my mind off of what I was doing. I was looser in my painting. I also got immediate feedback, another artist’s point of view.
I ended up finishing off one painting I had started days ago, plus a couple more (not sure they are totally finished). Betsy did two herself! We had a great conversation and a couple laughs as well.
We’ve decided to try to do this every weekday morning. Maybe one day we can go live too… who knows. In the meantime I am going to just enjoy it!
