I started a new painting using a simple sketch I did a while ago. As with most of my pieces I don’t know where it’s going to end up. I just follow where it leads.
Here’s just a few photos I snapped during my initial step of getting the sketch onto canvas. I used a large black marker and a few Lyra water-soluble graphite crayons (2B, 6B and 9B). I used a bit of water to blend the lines created with the graphite crayons. Next I used acrylic paints in white, creamy yellow and greys to give it some depth. Again, no real plan, just going with the flow.
